ABOUT THE TRAUMA HEALING WORKSHOP

Trauma by definition is when you feel overwhelmed.

Trauma doesn’t only apply to those who suffered a car accident. Trauma applies to anyone who’s been abused, mentally, emotionally, physically as a child or an adult, as well as, accidents, separation and loss.

If you’re suffering from easy overwhelm, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, behavioural disorders, addictive coping mechanisms, negative self-beliefs, low self-worth and other indispositions you most likely have experienced trauma in your life.  

Trauma restricts our attempts to move forward in our lives. It disconnects us from our selves, others, nature and spirit. When overwhelmed, we feel unsupported, lost and alone, which trigger all sorts of reactions both in ourselves and in our bodies; sometimes feeling shut-down, withdrawn, explosive or want to run away — known in trauma, as the fight & flight response.

By slowly unlocking the trauma-symptoms in the body, we can start to discharge and release its symptomatic restrains enabling us to access restorative patterns. Using resources, tools and exercises we begin to learn how to self-regulate, which gradually allows us to feel more capable and resilient when under pressure or overwhelmed in our lives.
